Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data GamePunky handles when you play, create an account or publish a game, and what you can do about it. We keep it short and collect as little as we can.

Who is responsible

Playing without an account

You can play every game without signing up. We count plays per game, and our hosting provider keeps short-lived technical logs (IP address, browser, time of request) to deliver the site and stop abuse. We do not build a profile of you from this.

If you create an account

• Email address and password (the password is stored hashed by our sign-in provider), or your Google sign-in if you use it.
• Your username, display name and avatar, which other players can see on leaderboards and ratings.
• Your scores, plays, star ratings, comments and any reports you send.
• Games you publish: the files, cover image, title and description you upload.

We use this to run your account, show leaderboards and ratings, review games before they go live and keep the community safe. The legal basis is the contract you accept when you sign up (the Terms) and our legitimate interest in moderating the site.

Age

GamePunky is made for players aged 12 and up. To create an account you must be at least 14 (the age of digital consent in Spain) or the age set in your country, or have permission from a parent or guardian. If you are a parent and think your child gave us data without permission, write to us and we will delete it.

Cookies and similar storage

• Essential: sign-in cookies that keep you logged in, and a setting in your browser that remembers the display theme. These are needed for the site to work and do not need consent.
• Advertising: GamePunky is free because it shows ads from Google AdSense. In the EU, UK and Switzerland, Google's consent message asks you first, and you can change your answer at any time from Privacy choices in the footer. Ads on GamePunky are non-personalised: they are chosen from the page you are on, not from a profile of you. Google may still use cookies to limit how often an ad is shown and to detect fraud, as described in how Google uses cookies in advertising.

Games run in an isolated sandbox on a separate address and cannot read your account or sign-in cookies.

Who we share data with

• Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage.
• Vercel: website hosting and delivery.
• Google: sign-in with Google (if you choose it) and advertising.

These providers process data on our behalf under data-processing agreements. Some are based in the United States; transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. We never sell your data.

How long we keep it

Account data stays while your account exists. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise it within 30 days, except what we must keep to meet a legal obligation or to deal with a report of abuse. Hosting logs are kept for a short period set by the provider.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, and object to or restrict how we use it, by writing to hello@dockialabs.com from the email linked to your account. If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es) or your local authority.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and say so on the site.
